The Chief Executive of the Health Service Executive (HSE), Professor Brendan Drumm (photo), has said that there will probably be approximately a thousand redundancies in the next year among the HSE's back-room staff.Speaking this morning on Marian Finucane's Saturday programme on RTÉ Radio 1, he said this would be about 25% of the total.
One wonders if this is good or bad news for the sick in this country and for the Irish taxpayers...
